Don't you just love it when you catch a guy out with someone other than their wife...
Well I know he didn't see me, while he was a huggin' on her... but I saw him! Third wife going down soon??????

Today
Mom is 91 years old today. I also found out that the oldest man in the world is celebrating his 113th birthday today. 1896. Wow he has seen the turning twice. I would have to live to be 146 years to see that happen. I don't think so.
Mom had a great birthday. All most all of us kids have called her and wished her happy birthday. Not only that just about all of us have taken her someplace special for her birthday.
This weekend Lara and Chris came by for lunch. Meatballs. They have been wanting them for a while now. But it always seems that someone else wants to have something else.
I am getting ready to watch the Colts game and Dances with the Stars. Channel flipping? Check out the huge dolphin the dolphins are entering through. It seems to be loud there. Good luck to the Colts tonight. Man fireworks at ball games. Manning looks like it is awfully hot in Florida.
Talk at ya later........

Where has September Gone
Boy has this month been busy. Mom is turning 91 on Monday. We celebrated last weekend with Lara and Chris and all the other "crazies" at the Colts game. Mom was high-fiving, and knuckle punching folks in celebration of her birth. I think she was having a blast letting people know how old she was. On the way back to the car, in the tail-gating area, one young man grabs her up and says "How's it going Grandma?" She in turns tells him she is celebrating her 91st birthday. Off he whisks her and tells everyone who will listen it is her 91st birthday.
I am still working on my magazines. I am almost through all of them. This has been a long project but the end is near and I will be able to cross another item off of my to get done list.
Rachel and Ashley have set the date with the minister for their Baptism. It is on Nov. 29th. Family you are all invited. I know most of you will be here for Thanksgiving.
Time for bed. Good night all.

Think about this!
Registration was last night and tonight. I have had many visits from students and former students. They are all excited to be back. They were letting me know that they are in my class or classes. So many hugs. One parent has a daughter that graduated last year. As you all know I am an advocate for women. Her daughter has a boyfriend that is doing what most abusers do... I have known this young lady since she was just an infant. I have discussed things that I have seen at school in the past with her. Mom is now dealing with it at home since she graduated. Yeah same sob stories from him... controlling through means that only the outsider can see... telling how he is the victim... tells her she should do what she wants in her parents home as she has graduated... HUMMMMMMMMM let me see how many times have I taught the signs to these young ladies... Oh that's right... only the abuser knows what is right for them... they are the only ones that cares about them... it is hard to tell when you first meet them as they are all "great and wonderful" and they are always the "victim" of others... I cannot protect them, I can only try and teach them the warning signs. Behind closed doors is where most abuse happens... Then it becomes you have no proof... so call the cops... I don't care... Sad.
I also was visited by a parent that asked that when their child feels they are going to explode to make sure they can come to my room. I guess because I am a passive person I don't present conflict at the time... If I could only lose 1 pound a lap around the track I would be toothpick size... Oh wait that is tooooo skinny for me... Okay if only I had a dollar for each lap... I'd be a millionaire! When it rains I let them walk the laps if they want... I stay in my door and watch... When it is snowy we have a snowball fight... the kids all love that... I am tired and think I will go to bed now... Good night all.

What do you know...
What do you know it is time for school again. Austin starts on Wednesday next week. This is year two... 1st grade. I talked to him on the phone he wasn't sure he had his school supplies... yes Austin you do have all of your supplies! I think it will be harder to convince him the summer is over and it's back to the ole grind stone this year. He knows what is happening...LOL Devon will definitely be lost... what will he do without his big brother all day! Poor Casi. Casi is job hunting kind of. She wants to work, it's just finding what she wants to work at. Casi is doing fabulous after her surgery. I am so proud of how brave she was. Shane is still working the same ole job. Their new home is started... I cannot wait to see it finished. Maybe Aunt Marianne will go help decorate... I know she would love to help spend money!
James is doing better. He is starting to see the light at the end of that long tunnel. Decisions will need to be made soon and they will present a hard choice for him. I am glad he is not going to the emergency room everyday now. I think they have finally gotten it all figured out. Recovery is the hardest part. I am worried about his hip though as it does not seem to have healed correctly. Hopefully since he can go to therapy now it will loosen it up and it will heal. I think they thought he was going to die, and just didn't do things the way they should have been done... His accident was bad but the recovery should have been easier. Time will tell...
Jenny and Robert spend a lot of their time with their X-boxes. I really wish they would do more. Robert will be driving soon... He is looking for wheels... I am not sure what kind he is looking for, but you know Robert. He test drove a $50.000.00 truck, Chevy of course, the other day... KEEP DREAMING ROBERT! McDonald's doesn't pay that well...LOL
I have gone out to my classroom to finish up. I not sure I ordered everything they put in my room... however it has been a few months ago. Need to get on my computer and check this out. I know that it is always a guessing game as to how things will be ordered. Some years you will put a 2 in front of your choice, like pens, and you get 2 pens... and other years you will receive 2 boxes of pens... Last year we received the first this year we received the second.... I guess I can pass out pens the first day of classes... I guess I forgot to order folders for the kids... Hope I have enough... I received a ton of three ring binders!? I don't even remember ordering them but I will take them.
My hubby is wore out. All this traveling back and forth to help James has wore him out. He is not use to being the one to make the trips for the kids... He is glad to be back to work. I think he is having product withdrawal....LOL. He has put a few thousand miles on the new motorcycle. He has been to Arkansas... Eastern Illinois... North Carolina... Tennessee... Missouri... West Virginia... and who knows where else. You know how he is when he rides... Where ever the road leads that's where he goes. We went to visit one of his brothers on one of the hospital trips. That was nice.
Kristina and the girls are doing good. Kristina has been asked to work this program again next summer... What a great job... and it sure does help them out financially. The girls have been at their father's for the past two weeks... it seems like an eternity. I sure do worry about them when they are there. Rachel went to College for Kids twice this summer. She had so much fun there. Some of the classes she took she actually had homework... Ashely spent much time here with the boys and then she would go help at the Cafe` on the Lawn with her mother. She liked working because she could earn tips. And besides that Ashley is a people person... she enjoyed waiting on people. I am so glad that my family likes to work and that they understand the importance of being able to support yourself...
Lara and Christopher just got back from Jamaica.. Can't wait to see all of their pictures. I know they are coming here this week... nephews and nieces won't be here and that is always a disappointment... I will go get the boys if they can come visit... I think Austin is having Grandmum House Withdrawal...LOL
My Mum is doing good. She will be 91 soon and she says she has earned every day she has been here on this Earth and that God has blessed her and given her the best children in the World...!!!! She is waiting on another great-grandchild. Orville is in stage 4 now... More bad days then good. Aunt Frances was told that her heart was ready to give out... She is in the hospital again. Prays to her. You know she keeps fighting, Mum is afraid that Aunt Frances is ready to stop fighting and just quit... Mum would lose a good friend... but the downs are worse than the up times. Aunt Frances said she only wanted to live until her first great-grandchild was born... and that was just a short time ago. It is hard to believe she is 95. Her and Mum both look in their 60's.
Back to my lesson planning... I have a list of my students now and I know who and what I will be teaching when... That always helps...

Isn't this interesting!
While doing some research at the library I came across this article. It is from the Danville paper in 1873:
[From the Springfield Journal March 14]
The oldest man in the world has at length been discovered. His name is Jose Martino Couthiny, a resident of Cape Erie, in the province of Rio Janeiro, Brazil, who was born on the 20th of May, 1679, and is therefore nearly one hundred and ninety-four years old. It is said that he has forty-two children by six wives, and can count one hundred and twenty-three grand children, eighty-six great-grandchildren, twenty-three great-great grandchildren, and twenty-three of the last.
194 years old, I wonder how old he was when he passed?

A picking we went
Ashley, Austin and Devon went to Dan's house in search of some flowers to take to the "coaches" at Bible school. Dan cut each of them a flower to take. Then they each picked a cucumber from the neighborhood garden. After that they came to my garden by the pond and cut some more flowers and some roses. They had a nice bouquet when they were finished. They took them to Bible school and Pastor Dick put them in a vase and displayed them on his office desk.
Austin and Bible School
Tonight when Austin got in the car he said,"I don't think I have much room left on my wall at your house grandma for all my papers." Everything that he has done in Bible school is proudly displayed in the dining room on "Austin's Wall." He has all of the nonhangable things proudly displayed.
He loves going to Bible school and can't wait to get there each night. Tonight Ashley went with him. She got here too late last night. She came earlier today.
She had lots of fun also. Of course the folks at the church are her friends since this is her church.

Devon and Bible School
Devon loves Bible school. He can't wait to get there each evening. He has one song down...Go GO Go Go Jesus... Go Go Go Go Jesus well he only knows that part, but the dancing is a natural. He has made some friends. One boy about 10 and he have become great friends. I think he is ready for preschool...
Casi tells him if he doesn't eat he can't go to Bible school and then he eats his food all gone... If he is being bad... he is worried he won't get to go to Bible school... When we drive by church, "there my Bible school."
It is so great to see him having so much fun... When we leave he says bye see ya later. All that worrying that he might get upset if Casi wasn't there is all gone now.
Casi is sure she can finish college and go to work... Her baby is ready for preschool.
