Last day....
Today is the last day of September. It is beautiful, sunny and just the right temperature. Love it.
Took the girls and some of their friends....
Took the girls and some of their friends to the movie yesterday. Went to see Hotel Transylvania. Ir was really good for a cartoon. Enjoyed it. The kids laughed and so did I. Well worth the $50.00 I spent.

Headwraps
I found a pattern for headwraps and the girls want me to make some. So off to the store to find the right colors. Ashley wants to give them as gifts for Christmas.
Almost October
Wow it doesn't seem possible. October is just 2 days away.... Christmas is just around the corner. I know my cousin in counting down the days. She will be retiring in just a few months. I know my husband is counting down the days as he will be retiring in just a few weeks. HOOT HOOT.

crochet anyone?
I have been very busy crocheting. Love it. I have also done some knitting and some sewing. Christmas spirit... oh yeah. Maybe I will make extras and sell them.

Sunday
Yesterday both of the girls went with friends. Ashley started out early in the morning and went with the twins to their grandparents campsite. She was gone all day. They road bikes, had a "huge" campfire, ate and just had fun.
Rachel went to watch Luke play football. After the game she went with some friends to Wendy's and then Custard Cup. They ended up at a friends house that lived by Wendy's and play some flag football. She told me she had a great time.
Grandpa took both girls to the school to shoot some hoops.
Love having the girls around so much. Making me young again.

Birthday parties .....
Both of the girls have birthday parties today. Ashley this afternoon and Rachel this evening. So talk later.
Chocolate chip cookies
Rachel told me I make the best chocolate chip cookies... so here is the recipe.
2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture. By hand stir in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
I make only enough for a quick after school snack for the girls. The remain dough I prepare in balls and freeze. By doing this you can have fresh bake cookies anytime.

94 and counting.... wow what a game.
Mom is 94 today. She looks very young for her age. Most would guess in her 70's
Rachel had a game last night. She is very smart handling the ball. She makes passes that are unbelievable at times. Grandpa said he needs to take her and Ashley out to practice shooting free throws.
It was a great game. So proud of these two granddaughters. I am proud of all my grandchildren. Of course Austin will be having his own fishing show soon. He fishes about as good as his mother. I am sure the two of them are having "who catches more" battles.

On with our life....
On with our life. I don't have to prove any thing to anyone. I am me and my thoughts are my rights. Knowledge I have is my knowledge. If I choose to share with you, to maybe save you, then that is my choice. You may not like the things I have to say... but they are ALL true....
That being said...
Ashley is having so much fun here. She is having friends over a lot. Rachel is having friends over also. Rachel has a boyfriend.... She was at his sectional game last Saturday and missed a wedding of a cousin of her father's. They are all acting so pathetic and like she should have been there. Sorry, but kids don't always value the same things as adults and they don't always see value in things that others do. I am sure they will not make her wedding someday, because they will have families and it just may not fit what they need or want to do, and no one would EXPECT them to be there. Going to any activity is a personal choice and you should never be belittled because you choose not to go.
My mother is rather disappointed that more of her grandchildren can not make the birthday dinner. I told my sister when she planned it for a Friday evening, that most could not make it. Our son lives 8 hours away, our one daughter and her family live 3 hours away and one other daughter and her family live 4 hours away. All have students meaning their children would have to leave school early to make it. Also my nephews all live 2 hours away and they also all have children and they don't get home from work until around 7 o'clock in the evening. It sounds like even my sisters two children and their families are not going to make it. Maybe we can plan a little something along with Miss K's first birthday bash.
Ashley and her friend Haley are upstairs, sounds like a rumble... maybe I should check on them....
Rachel isn't home from school yet. Not sure what is taking her so long.
Ball game tonight in Heritage. Ashley and Haley are riding with Kristina. Rachel has basketball practice and so she is not going to the game.

Well ....
Well I have come to the conclusion that IT and his WIFE will always come here. I guess she needs something to keep him in her life and I am her TARGET. SO WIFE #3 of IT... I am writing my journal someplace else and you won't ever find it. HAHAHAHAHA. So Little Lu you can go ahead and add my link again when ever you want to.
Paranoid people
Paranoid ~ don’t you love Paranoid people. Why do you keep coming here? Are you worried that this is the realism of your life? Do you see what is happening in your world as what has happened in the past wives? Just leave us all alone. Go live your pathetic life. If you have so little in your world, change it! You don’t have to live in it. You can leave. You can get out. You can get help. Help yourself and your two children. Leave these children alone. They don’t need your help. They are already out of it and don't care to return.

Yeah baby
Welcome Texas.... and you know who you are! HAHAHAHA I love laughing at you.
Ashley has won some kind of art contest. She will have her work on display for at least two years.... Way to go Ashley... guess you got Grandpa Hall's abilities to do art.
Tonight Ashley had an awesome game. The girls on the other team were twice her size, but that didn't stop her.
Ashley and Rachel both have their homework complete. Ahhh to relax.
Tomorrow night Rachel has her first basketball game of the season. Wednesday night Ashley has a game. Thursday night Rachel has a game and Ashley has the unveiling of her art work.
Friday is my mother's 94th birthday party and this year the girls will be there. Every birthday is important as we don't know when the last will be. I also sub that day.
Saturday is cleaning and getting organized day and Sunday church and check to make sure everything is done day.

what a weekend
Busy....
The girls had basketball practice for school, Rachel's boyfriend had a sectional baseball game for school, and they had skating practice and a birthday party.... and this on top of homework that seemed to never end. Ashley has worked 12 hours on homework this weekend. Very little free time to do anything else. She even did her extra credit work... typed it even. She has had little time to play with friends.
Ashley is studying her flashcards for a test in history on Wednesday. She is so driven to have good grades. Spanish homework, English homework, science homework and worksheets in social studies and a new prayer to memorize. Rachel is loving her school, not a whole lot of homework for her since she has study hall the last period of the day.
The girls father's cousin was married this weekend, however the girls decided not to go.

Ashley and her team.
Ashley is a very aggressive bball player. She is so intense. It is fun to watch her. If we could only figure out a way to make her taller, she'd be unstoppable.

The Tail of the Dragon
The Tail first ride for Robbie.... Grandpa decided it was time to teach him so real roads to ride....
week filled with ballgames and practices....
This week is filled with ballgames and practices. Tonight I have to change the menu since A has a game and R wants to go and watch her boyfriend play baseball.
This week are the Iowa tests all week. Today they were allowed at the south campus to wear something that represented America. So A wore a shirt with the American flag on it.
The girls grades are great. They absolutely love their new school. They have each fixed a bedroom here at our home to fit their liking. Homework is being done in those rooms.
J got back from a week long motorcycle ride. Wore him out. He forgot his razor, coffee and sunblock in the suitcase he was going to take at first. Said I got there and couldn't find them. When he came home he was searching all over the house and finally asked if I had seen his coffee... NO. Then I went up to our room and realized he had changed suitcases. Look in the one he originally packed and told him... "found the coffee, razor and sunscreen in this bag." Good hardy laughs.
Some of my bushes and plants did not make it through the drought. Some are confused and have bloomed again.
The weather is cooling off. It is down right chilling in the mornings. Trees have not started to turn colors yet. Tennessee is still as green as it was in the summer. It rained a lot there this summer so maybe the fall colors will be great in October.
J is planning his retirement. Wow we have worked a lot of years to get to this point in time.
Sub-teaching is going good. I only take the days I feel like working.
Christmas gifts are starting to take shape. Hope I get all completed before Christmas.
I have started on some of the items for church to donate to the men's shelter and to the women's shelter. I have also started the things that go to the bazaar.
I am in the planning and drawing stage of some of the decorations for Miss K's first birthday party. Doesn't seem like a whole year has gone by.
I am beginning to plan Thanksgiving. Not sure yet who is coming or what all I will fix. But it is almost October and I need to get things started.
Halloween costume orders are being taken. Sewing machine... get ready to start humming.
Well I need to go get busy.

Here it is .... Monday
Wow it is Monday again. Girls uniforms are ready to go for the week. Just saying to them this morning we will be needing to get some long pants soon. It was in the 50's this morning.
Rachel is at school already and Ashley will be heading out in about 25 minutes.
James will be home from his week long ride and I will be starting another Christmas gift.
Yeah.... My mom will be 94 in just 11 days. She has met her goal of living as long as one of her grandmothers. She will be the oldest know relative in that branch of her family.

Payton Comes Back....
Yesterday I watched 3, yes three football games. All three of my teams were playing. I have always been a Colts, Bronco and Green Bay fan. Goes a long ways back...
I was glad to see the Bears beat the Colts only because I do not like the way the owner treated the players last year and the fact he traded Manning.
I watched as Green Bay lost.
The highlight of the night was watching Payton come back strong. He looked pretty good wearing Orange again. Probably made him feel younger. LOL
On with the day.
Way to go Payton, all of us loyal Colts fans knew you would be coming back strong.

Saturday
Well here it is Saturday again. Seems the weeks are flying by again this school year. The girls just finished the fourth week of school Wow. Where did the time go?
Ray's softball season came to an end today. So on to basketball. Their first game is this week. Ashley also has a game this week. Busy schedules. But they love it.
Went to the roast beef dinner at church last night. It was very good. I met Dick Weller's sister and her husband. It turns out that her husband was the insurance agent for Louie's parents and knew my older sister Judy. Small world.
I have finished one of my Christmas gifts... wow on to another gift. Slow down weeks.....
I have updated or delete some of the sites for the recipes, fugal, scrapbooking. Some when clicked on will need you to go to their home page to refresh them.

Rain and storms
Ugh... storms... I don't mind the rain... I hope the storms are just your "garden" variety. Nothing severe.
I told Ashley I would pick her up at school today if it rains. Also made sure she had an umbrella ready to walk to the car.

Grandparents' Day at Schlarman Academy north campus
Yes another Mass. I will be there. Since my granddaughters are loving their new school so much, I am glad to go.
Grandparents day
Yesterday was Grandparents Day at Ashley's school. Of course I went to the Mass. Ashley is really getting the hang of all the religious things that the Catholic Church does. Since she is Methodist it is different. She does enjoy the school and she really doesn't mind going to Mass each week.

4 - 0
Ashley's basketball team is 4-0 as of tonight. Go Toppers. Ashley is so aggressive on the court. One lady, that has been a Topper fan for many a year, commented on how aggressive the girls were. She was pretty proud of how they played.
Now the Dems
Okay now this week we have to listen to the DNC. I won't be listening to it much either. To bad we didn't have someone else running. MOST definitely will not be voting for ROMNEY. He has lied too much. Not sure about OBAMA. Except I am smart enough to know that CONGRESS Republicans caused him be unsuccessful. So I think OBAMA is the better of the two.

September 1
Okay I have gotten the ex-son-in-laws family (HAHA) all in a tissy. You have to love the fact they believe everything is about them. On to my normal life again. But dork - just pay your child support. That's all any one wants. You think it is about you not visiting... NO, NO one cares about whether or not you visit with them ~ get a life! They need to have your financial support as much as your physical being visits. So get a life.
Well in 20 days my mother will be celebrating her 94th birthday. She is still trying to recover from her 2400 mile trip in a car to the west. She enjoyed it, but it was a bit much for someone her age to take in less than 7 days. Lots of car riding. The last day of the trip they drove close to 1000 miles.
The girls have been in school for 3 weeks now. They have been doing great. Rachel is involved with softball and basketball practice has already started. Ashley is in basketball season and her team is "kicking butt" of other schools. She was so happy they "stomped" her old school. Her friends were telling her how they were going to stomp them, well.... After the game they all hung together. Rachel loved going back to the old school, however her old friends weren't there, but several of her new friends were. So she hung with them.
The girls new school has already had two fundraisers. UGGGG! Magazine sells and Market Day. Market Day I don't mind because they have great food. Magazines.. well they are harder to sell.
Rachel has a boyfriend and they text constantly. I tell her to get off the phone.... She can't eat, do homework or concentrate with all the texting she is doing.
The best thing about them going to the private school is the fact I get to see them everyday during the week. Their schedules are such that they stay with me while the other is doing what ever for school. Ashley doesn't have to be at school until an hour after her mom, however Rachel has to be at school a half hour before her mom. So Ashley spends time with me. Ashley gets out of school and doesn't have practice until evening and Rachel has practice right after school and then time to do homework and then goes to basketball open gym since she can't legally practice as a team until softball is over. Then it is time to head home and get of mind for another school day.
On the weekends, Rachel and Ashley have been going to some of their friends houses. They are so active and love all the pool parties and sleep overs.
I think today's pool party may get rained out.
Well off here so I can go and do some work.
